I like to find as many Thai stars to show as I can, not just the current famous one or up and coming stars. Today I bring you Ying Julaluk Kittiyarat. As far as I can tell she is no longer active in the Thaientertainment scene, but she made movies from 2002-2004 (The Poison, Lahorn and Mermaid). She is probably best known though for her controversial book called “Sexual Connotation” which came out in 2006.

The book created quite a stir in Thailand as it was very open in it’s discussion of sex and even included some racy photo’s. The ThaiMinistry of Culture was quite perturbed with her at the time the book was published, but by all accounts she was not apologetic about it at all. Combine that with her marriage to a farang and you can bet she wasn’t too popular in 2006 at all. Not sure if that contributed to her dropping out of the Thai entertainment scene, but it’s a shame we’re not seeing more of Ying these days.
